A Little Bit About Me Personally

I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, and on Saturna Island, BC, where I grew up with my parents, sister, and a rather lively farm that included 200 sheep along with horses and cows. I attended private school before continuing my studies at Langara College and then the British Columbia Institute of Technology where I completed my formal education. Over the years I have continued to expand my knowledge through numerous certifications and diplomas in finance and marketing, which you can find listed on my LinkedIn profile. Growing up between the city and island life gave me what I like to think of as the best of both worlds—a strong work ethic paired with creativity, curiosity, and practical problem-solving.

  Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, especially when dealing with late tax filings, financial stress, or complicated financial situations. My approach is to meet people where they are, offering empathy, patience, and practical guidance while working diligently to bring their finances back into order. While I’m warm and approachable with my clients, I’m known for being relentless when it comes to solving financial problems and advocating for the people I work with. Over the years, I have developed a simple and proven approach that helps clients regain control of their financial records and move forward with clarity and confidence. Seeing my clients succeed, breathe a little easier, and experience relief from financial stress is truly my “why.” 

Outside of my accounting practice, I am also a mother, a Metalsmith, and a Master Usui Holy Fire Reiki Practitioner and Teacher. Creativity, curiosity, and positive intention are important parts of my life, and I naturally weave that same energy into the way I approach my work and the relationships I build with my clients.

You can often find me in my garden, exploring beaches, foraging in the forests of British Columbia, splitting rocks open to uncover hidden treasures, or creating in my art studio. These moments of creativity and time in nature help keep me grounded and inspired.
